Biography
Ian Bethmann is a professional vocalist and voice instructor in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Ian holds a M.M in Voice Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he studied under Dr. Marcus DeLoach and a B.M. in Voice Performance from Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA where he studied under Dr. Damian Savarino. His favorite roles include “Beast” from Alan Menken’s Beauty and the Beast, “Yamadori” from Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, “Count Almaviva” from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, "Dulcamara" from Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore and ensemble roles in Sweeney Todd and Turandot.
Ian is employed as a soloist and section leader at West Trenton Presbyterian Church and frequently performs at various at churches throughout the Delaware Valley area. Other work in the area includes multiple appearances with the Pennsbury Community Chorus as a featured soloist and as the baritone soloist in Handel's Messiah at Messiah Univeristy in 2023. Former work includes two summers with the Adirondack Performing Arts Fellowship performing a wide array of repertoire. Ian maintains a small private studio for middle through high school aged singers in the Bucks County area.
